Myself, like many others, can reasonably conclude that they have spent a larger-than-they'd-like portion of their life watching Pride and Prejudice, all the while wondering why Mr Darcy has yet to ride up to your cottage, having waded through miscreant farm animals and mud, only to whisper sweet 18th century nothings in your ear.
This said, and in the spirit of the new media revolution, I have found a way for us to thrust the world of the Bennet sisters into the 21st century.
"The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" is an online adaption of Jane Austins 'Pride and Prejudice." It features a series of web logs by none other than Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Bennet, who recounts the classic tale with a modern spin. Lizze, with the help of prim and proper Jane and promiscuous Lydia, not only vlogs significant events for cohesion's sake, but mocks characters like Bingley and Darcy.
